UPSIDE and DOWNSIDE OF FEAR/ANXIETY

Yes, fear is a prehistoric, innate survival instinct in all humans. We need it in certain life-threatening conditions ie car accidents, violence, being around dangerous people or facing death. But it can very easily get out of control and run our lives.

It can paralyze us to lose our courage, weaken our life force, abandon our dreams, and ignore our needs and desires. We can use it as excuse not to do something, or pursue a life goal, or fulfill a dream, or assist us in build a better us.

Anxiety

And staying locked in fear will create an anxious mindset that sees trouble, danger, and life threatening situations even where there are non. It will become a constant, relentless discomfort/frustration with life and our ability to handle it.  It will wear down our nerves, push us into defending ourselves and our point of view and initiate a war with our family and friends.  —-(think Covid and vaccinations)

LIVING IN ANXIETY AND FEAR WILL NOT WORK IN TODAY’S WORLD

Today we have many stressors (government, economy, work, inflation, educating our children…) arising in our faces every day. We can’t run and hide. We need to find our courage and solve the world’s problems and that will require courage.

Life should be about having an adventure exploring our talents, experimenting with our ideas and creating some new art, new book, or a new organization that will benefit humanity.

LOOKING AT YOUR FEAR/ANXIETY IN A NEW WAY

Look at your FEAR as a warning sign on car’s dashboard. But let’s reverse the meaning.

What if you see the message as “Last time I tried to talk to my boss about a raise, I was embarrassed and awkward. Today I will try a new technique. I will use a new strategy and I will win.”

Or “Last time I tried to re decorate the bedroom I did not a clear plan I was overwhelmed. Today I will create a different plan and succeed. “

Or Last time I had to give a speech I was nervous and tongue tied, today I’m focused and passionate.”

Then notice how good it feels to have this new freedom from the past, from the fear of doing a certain activity. Notice how good it feels to have some self wisdom about how to change to accomplish your objectives and how to create inner courage. It will surprise & please you intently. Go for it.

Our sessions will teach you how to:

  • Listen to the message in your fear.
  • Melt resistance to dealing with your fear.
  • Let your mind lovingly embrace your fear.
  • Retrain the fear energy to be a useful sentry.
  • Create a new vision of you without fear.

Ready for some courage and joy in your life.
